Digital People was established in 1997 in Chicago, and the Minneapolis location opened in 1999. Since day one, we have been committed to nurturing our talent with the same enthusiasm we bring to serving employers. The way we see it at Digital People, we're all in this together. So, it's no surprise that it's come full circle: many of our clients were once Digital People talent. We think that says it all!

Tom Schmidt

SVP, Technical and Professional Services   
Tom Schmidt is the Senior Vice President of our Advantage Technical team, as well as the brands that make up our Professional Services group which include Digital People (creative/marketing) and Hunter Hamilton (accounting/finance/corporate services). Schmidt’s group is responsible for ensuring our client's competitive success by providing highly skilled Talent and Talent Services within the Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, and professional placement specialties across North America.
Schmidt has more than 25 years of U.S. and Global experience in the Staffing, Technical Services, and Talent Acquisition industries, and he is also a U.S. Army Veteran.

Gabby Winfield serves as the Vice President of Professional Services at Staffmark Group, where she leads two prominent professional services organizations: Hunter Hamilton and Digital People. With a wealth of expertise, Gabby specializes in crafting, executing, and overseeing innovative recruitment, retention, and candidate engagement solutions for renowned global corporations. Her primary dedication lies in nurturing the talent she supports and forging robust teams capable of meeting their clients' ever-evolving requirements.
Gabby boasts an impressive tenure of over 13 years within Staffmark Group, during which she has assumed diverse roles ranging from Account Manager and Recruiter to Senior Recruiter and Practice Director. Today, she holds the esteemed position of Vice President. Beyond her professional pursuits, Gabby finds joy in quality time spent with her husband, Nick, and their two children, Audrey and Nixon. She also has a penchant for indulging in captivating historical fiction novels and exploring the wonders of travel.

Alison Ault-Huilk

Practice Director   
Alison has been a staffing professional for over 20 years. She started her career as a recruiter and quickly moved into management and Senior management roles. Her most recent role as national account director, she supported strategy and operational excellence for a few Fortune 500 companies. Alison is most proud of her customer partnerships that expanded beyond the customer relationship to true consultative alliances that assisted companies in overall staffing development and management.

Alison is excited to now use those skills with the Hunter Hamilton family. Creating and maintaining long term collaborative relationships with customers and our talent helps drive success. The best job in the world is helping to change people's lives through assisting them in their career growth. Alison is thrilled to work with our top portfolio of Accounting and Finance customers and exceptional talent in the Twin Cities.

Alison comes from a military family and her claim to fame is that she was born in Alaska and graduated High School in Hawaii! Happy to be settled now in one place with her family where weekends are spent biking and walking the Minnesota trails.

Chris Soderlund

Managing Director   
Chris switched careers early on from finance to become an executive recruiter and now has over 25 years in the staffing industry. His extensive network of colleagues and customers appreciate his deep knowledge and leadership.  He has hired, mentored and lead teams of up to 50 executive recruiters in multiple states.  He has delivered national training programs and his recruits report blasting through professional goals they never thought possible.  Even now, Chris fields calls from early placements from twenty years ago who still reach out to him for career advice.  In his current role as West Coast Managing Director, Chris will again provide support and guidance to his teams in multiple markets for Hunter Hamilton.

Chris first obtained a B.S. in Human Resources then an MBA from California State University, Northridge.  When he isn’t inspiring his teams and collaborating with clients, you will find him riding his motorcycle, navigating the Southern CA skyline in a helicopter, on a local golf course, or catching some rays by the pool with his wife and kids.
